Evolution of Baby Strollers

It has been hard on parents to find ways on how to transport their babies without having to carry them all the time. Slings, baby pouches, all those have been tried, and are still being used, but parents don’t have that much energy anymore especially when they are traveling with their babies.

The baby stroller was conceptualized by an English garden architect way back in 1733. The baby stroller was originally meant for amusing the Duke of Devonshire’s children by sitting in them and getting pulled by a small horse or pony. At the time, it was called the baby carriage. Later on, the baby carriages weren’t just used to amuse children; they became a very useful tool in helping parents with their children especially when traveling.

Later on, the baby carriages were known as baby strollers and as times are changing, the baby strollers became more compact through being foldable. Baby strollers have been around for a long time now and we of course do not expect them to stay as bulky as they were when they were first thought of. New ideas and concepts were brought up and more styles, new features, safer construction and more accessories have been made available for parents and babies alike.
