My 16 month old loves this bar- give him a great thing to hold on to since he's never been the type to just lay back and relax- he would lean forward before but now it's much easier for him to sit up. The bar is not quite as square shapped as it looks in the pics- it's more rounded. LOVE that it has a cover that zips off for cleaning. A must have for the city mini, makes it look more complete. PS- read lots and lots of review on the bar and the tray and i just saw the tray at a store yesterday- the tray comes up REALLY high, level with my sons face and he's tall!!! Do not get the tray for a child less that 2 or 3, it's too high and blocks them. Just my two cents :)

OH YEAH- the bar CAN be used as a car seat adaptor/holder!!!! I'm sure it's not "locked" in there as tight as the $70 on they sell but it works GREAT with my graco snugride- the grooves in the carseat fit right on the bar. It fits best if you take off the hood of the stroller, or just take the hood out of where it clips in and scoot it up an inch.

Bought this for my daughter thinking she can pull herself up a little and see more while we are walking. She seems to like it better she is a little fussy in the stoller cause the stoller is kind of set back, does not allow here to sit completly up, so this helps her pull herslef up so she can see better.

Love the belly bar just as my 10 month old does. It easily adjusts up or down and when it is up, I can still place the Graco SnugRide 32 in there for short trips. I also own the car seat adapter bar and if you will mostly be using your stroller as a travel system, DEFINITELY get the car seat adapter bar and DO NOT rely on this for frequent car seat use. The only time I ever use it to hold the car seat is if she passes out and it's a 10 minute errand.

I have attached rings and toys to the bar. She also just loves to hang on and lean forward. My older son had no use for one but baby girl loves it! It's also padded, unlike a tray.

I also purchased the Sunshine Kids snack tray to attach.

The only thing I don't like about this belly bar is the price. I wish it came standard with the City Series strollers. But this is a must have for my City Mini. My one year old son loves to sit forward and hold the belly bar. If he's tired, he will lean back and prop his feet on it. It is also great for linking toys, or using the Sippigrip Booginhead SippiGrip, Black to attach his sippy cup or Munchie mugMunchie Mug - The New Spill Resistant Snack Cup for Toddlers. Made in the USA. - BPA Free. FDA compliant materials. - Blue Top. I also love that the bar is adjustable, so it grows with your child. Most belly bars don't have this feature. I would suggest the belly bar over the snack tray-- it's more versatile. The snack tray also sits too high up for smaller children.

First of all, I love that the Baby Jogger has so many accessories so that you can really make it your own. A belly bar was a requirement when stroller shopping for me. My first two kids always liked having a bar to hold on to and look over and also put their feet up on when relaxing. When their stroller wore out and I had to buy a new one for baby #3, I bought the Baby Jogger City Mini and added this belly bar. It it's lowest position, it's just right for my 1-year old to hold on to and grab her sippy or snack cup out of (She's a small baby - 40th percentile). At it's middle position, I can fit the Graco infant seat - it's a tight fit, though. If your baby is still a newborn and you will be using the infant seat a lot in the stroller, I'd recommend the other attachment specifically for car seats.

I don't know how they can sell strollers without it!
usefull for hanging toys on, and when the child leans foward he has something to lean on.
a must!!!

Simply said..you really need this bar for your little one. My girl loves hanging on while going for a ride. The price is minimal and so worth it.

Oh, and it fits easily and easy to take on and off.
