Better Than A BOB -I Promise!

Why are people so 'in love' with their BOB Strollers? Personally, I believe it is because they are trendy -nothing else. Baby Jogger City Classic is better than a BOB and here are the reasons why: the handle is adjustable (the BOB's is not), the seat is removable and washable (the BOB's is not), the stroller folds down with Baby Jogger's patented 1-step handle (the BOB folds down in 2 steps), the area where your toddler's feet go is hard black plastic, which can be wiped clean (the BOB's foot area is material and gets gross & nasty because it can't be washed), your baby can almost lay down flat (the BOB doesn't recline that flat). So with all these reasons why do people continue to have a shallow love affair with BOB Strollers? Anyways, I love my stroller! It is so easy to push and I love that the shade cover is extremely large. I never bought the car seat adapter because the seat reclines to almost flat; with the shade pulled down it acts like a cocoon! This stroller is so cool that it should have its own theme music!
I also owned the double jogger and it was a fantastic stroller, too. |
Best all around stroller out there!

I love this stroller! If you are only going to purchase one stroller this is the one to get. I live in an urban area and mostly walk and jog on paved paths, however sometimes I take the stroller on dirt paths and it is just fine. I have used both the Bob and the Phil and Ted's stroller and by far the baby jogger is easier to use, lighter, and handles better. I love how easy it folds up, I can do it with one hand. It's so easy to take the stoller apart to put the material in the washing machine. It is well made and durable. I did have a small problem and the company replaced the frame immediately. Great customer service.

This stroller ROCKS! We had a collapsible Combi stroller and the wheels broke, it steered awful and drove us nuts. We stepped it up to the City Classic and absolutely love this stroller. The ride is so smooth, easy to steer, and doesn't feel like you're really pushing. It just glides around. The storage underneath is large enough to fit our diaper-backpack and the canopy actually works. It blocks the sun from our boy's face at virtually all times of day. I really have nothing but positive things to say about it. The easy one hand fold is brilliant as well. I hope you get one, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

This is the best baby purchase I have made (and I've made a lot!). I went between this and the BOB and am so glad I picked this stroller. I've had it for 6 weeks now and walk with it everyday in my neighborhood (paved sidewalks) and it is so easy to push and comfortable for my large 9 month old (22+ pounds). The adjustable handle is great--for me and husband 5'10, for my father 6'4 and my mother 5'3, I think that is one of the greatest things. The sunshade is awesome. The storage is adequate (mesh bag for extra sweatshirt/burp cloths; zipper pocket for phone keys wallet). I haven't bought any of the attachments yet (haven't needed them). The price here can not be beat when you compare it to the BOB which is near impossible to find on sale. I just can't say enough good things about this stroller and wish I would have bought it months ago and not spent the money on my expensive Maclaren umbrella stroller (which now stays folded in my trunk). Excellent stroller--great price--buy it!

I researched for months before ultimately purchasing the Baby Jogger City Classic. I am not a runner, but I do use this stroller for everything else. I love the way it handles...it's so easy to push and steer one-handed. The air-filled tires are a really nice feature, and so is the fact that it has shocks on the front tire. You barely feel bumps on rough terrain. The colors of the stroller are attractive and the fabric seems pretty durable. The sun shade is fantastic! It will keep the sun out of your childs eyes no matter what time of the day it is. It has some storage on the back of the stroller which is a nice feature, but I have yet to use it. The basket below is a decent size, but not very accessible at all. The biggest selling point for me was that it has a high seat. The seat back measures roughly 21" whereas similar strollers measure around 17". This was very important to me because my 2 year old is very tall for his age. My son fits in this stroller very well, with tons of room to grow. He seems very comfortable, also. The foot rest is better than a lot of jogging/all terrain strollers. It can be easily cleaned and it provides plenty of room for children with longer legs. The adjustable handle is nice, parents of all heights can push it comfortably. This stroller folds very easily and isn't too heavy compared to others in its class. My only realy complaint is that once it's folded up, it's very awkward. There's not a good place to pick it up and carry it, and it doesn't latch together once it's folded so it comes apart easily. However, it folds up fairly compactly and takes up less than half of the trunk in my nissan altima. This is a great all around stroller. Great for walks on any terrain and for shopping (just be careful because the back wheels are very wide-set, so you will have trouble fitting between clothing racks!).

Very easy to fold and unfold. A little big for newborn but if blankets are put around the baby works great. Easy to push, has an adjustable handle, large canopy to keep sun out. Great storage area!
Better than higher priced swivel wheel strollers

We were looking for a swivel wheel stroller, because they are so much easier to push and turn than regular 4 wheel strollers. Most of our friends have the Bob Revolution, but we couldn't stomach paying $[...] for a stroller. After exhaustive research, we found the baby jogger city classic to be easily the best value and to possibly be even better than some more expensive strollers. Features it has that others do not: easily removable fabric for washing, easily adjustable straps which are not threaded but clip to the seat instead, reclining seat which adjusts to a desirable upright position, hard plastic foot rest that is easily cleaned, adjustable handle height, 21.5 lb weight, one pull folding, very large retractable sun canopy, simple front wheel lock, and durability. We really like that it turns on a dime and cost $[...] less than the more popular brand. The only things it doesn't have are shocks and 16 inch rear wheels, and I can't see that this makes much difference. It was very easy to assemble. The storage underneath is comparable to most swivel wheel strollers I've seen. I would have preferred more storage underneath since we often walk to the grocery store with the stroller, and that is my only complaint. Go to the Baby Jogger website to see videos demonstrating the features of this stroller.
