Wonderful Stroller!

We bought this to use for power walks around the neighborhood and to take it onto hard-packed hiking trails. It has far exceeded my expectations. We may use it to replace the regular double stroller we keep in the back of the minivan.
Also, I don't have the problem with the wobbly front wheel some have complained about (read the tip below).
PRO's:
- Extremely smooth operation
- Kids LOVE to ride in it -- especially when I run over bumps!
- Seats seem very comfortable
- Seats are adjustable from a slight recline to full recline by adjusting a pull strap (very easy to adjust), so kids can take a nap if needed
- Each seat has a mesh side pocket for snacks, etc.
- Seat belt harness is easy to clip on and very adjustable
- Seat bottoms are tilted back a bit so the child sits comfortably cradled in the seat (unlike many other strollers and bike trailers)
- Stroller folds over quickly and easily for storage/transportation
- All wheels can be easily removed with quick release
- Canopy is fully adjustable to block the sun, even if it's head-on
- Canopy has an openable cover to reveal a peek-through sunroof so parents can see the kids while pushing
- Assembly took 5 minutes -- easiest assembly I've ever had for an item this size
- Front wheel has a metal swivel lock pin (not just a plastic clip)
- Plenty of storage under seats and behind seatbacks
- Comfortable handle and a safety wrist strap
- Two parent cup holders and a storage compartment
- Plenty of toe clearance to the rear axle (you won't kick it while power walking)
CON's:
- Underseat storage has a center divider, so it's two long skinny compartments -- not good for a larger diaper bag
- Even when fully upright, the seats are reclined a tiny bit more than I would like -- not bad, but should have been able to go a bit more upright
- Safety wrist strap seems a bit short (still need to test it out)
- Doesn't have a DVD player... It's a joke! =-)
TIP:
For those that experience the wobbly front wheel, try this -- There's a nut under the plastic footrest that fastens the front fork onto the frame. Tighten that bolt down a little bit so the front fork has a little resistance in turning -- not too much so it prevents you from turning easily, but just enough so that it doesn't freely swivel.
While checking out the stroller at the store, I noticed the front wheel was wobbly, as some other reviewers commented. I bought the stroller anyway because it was still the best one I found. When I pulled the new stroller out of the box, I noticed that the front fork was a bit tighter than the one at the store, but it had no front wheel wobble. From a mechanical perspective, it makes sense that a little resistance in the swivel will prevent wobble.

Very happy

| I am very happy with our Baby Trend double jogging stroller. I haven't had anything break and it's a pleasure to push, easy to assemble and use. I had previously bought and returned the InStep Suburban Safari Double Stroller and I was not happy with it. I use the stroller everyday for long, fast walks. I have a long stride and I like that I don't kick the back axle of the Baby Trend (that's the main reason I returned the InStep). I also like that the back axle is metal not plastic (the InStep one was plastic) and that the back wheels are large. The front wheel can lock straight or can swivel. On my single stroller I always kept it straight for fast walking, but on this one I've been able to leave it on swivel and it still pushes very smoothly. The sun shade has a flap so you can see your children. It also is ratcheted and not sewn on to the seat so it can be moved to wherever the sun is which works great. The straps don't have pads, so if your child is small enough to need them you would have to add them. The stroller will fit out my front door but not doors inside my house, so I'm not sure how it would do if your main use is shopping. It does fold down easily and fits in the back of my mini van. The wheels can also be removed easily to make it flatter. Hope this helps! |

| I had searched for a double jogging stroller for months. I returned MANY double strollers for lots of different reasons. I was going to buy the MUCH more expensive double jogging stroller when I came upon this one and thought I would give it a try. It is PERFECT!!!! The price is great and it has all the features I wanted. The seats can sit straight up so the kids aren't reclined very far. The seats are wide with lots of room and there is plenty of head room too! There is a pocket on both sides for the kids to keep drinks inside with them which is great. There is a hole in the canopy so you can check on the kids, which a lot of the strollers didn't have. The cup holder for the parents and the closed little storage on the handle is great. I keep my phone and keys in it. The basket under the stroller is great with lots of storage. It DOES fit through EVERY doorway I've tried and it doesn't take a lot of work. It goes through each store doorway and even the doorways in my house. The back wheels come off for easy transportation which is a plus too. The swivel wheel is a must and works great! I have a 3 year old and a 1 1/2 year old and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect stroller!!!! The MP3 player is a bit of a joke, but I didn't really buy the stroller for that. I did LOTS of research and spent lots of time trying out different strollers and this one is the perfect one for us! I have told all my friends about it and actually a few of them have already bought it and love it too! It is a smooth ride and very easy to push! Can't go wrong for the money!!! |
Perfect For Grandma

As a Grandmother of a 2 and a half year old and a 6 month old, I can honestly say I have been very pleased with my purchase. It is perfect for taking the two of them for a walk. I like the fact that I have a choice between a fixed and a turning front wheel. For me the turning wheel is easier to maneuver. My daughter likes the fixed wheel to jog with them. There is a place for my keys and my drink--what else could a grandma ask for. There is also a little pocket to hold a snack for the girls. It is easy to lock the wheels and I like the strap for your wrist to also hold it, in case it started to get away from you for some reason. It is so easy to push, I couldn't believe it! I would recommend it to anyone! It is a lot of stroller for the money and I put it together myself. I was proud of my 63 year old self! |

| I have been extremely pleased with my stroller. The only thing I've had a problem with is the tires. I live in an area where there are some spots of the road that are dirt/rocks/thorns. The tires don't hold up well to thorns. I've already had to patch/replace two of the tires. Other than that, it is fantastic! I love that the seats recline individually, and that the front wheel can both swivel and lock. My favorite feature is probably the visor. I LOVE how it can be adjusted according to where the sun is hitting my children. I've never had a problem with the front wheel jiggling when I jog with it, but I did tighten it a bit when I first received the stroller. |

I did a significant amount of research before purchasing this stroller. I didn't have the money to buy "top of the line" but wanted something that I would be happy with. I usually walk or run about 4 miles a day with my kids (3 1/2 years and 15 months.) My 3 1/2 year old is very large for his age at over 40 pounds and tall. My 15 month old is over 30 pounds. This stroller pushes like a breeze, even with over 70 pounds worth of kids in it. Originally I was searching for a stroller that has a stationary front wheel because I do spend time jogging, but I am SO glad that I went with the pivioting front wheel that has the option of locking in place. The only time that I have actually locked the wheel was once when I was jogging on gravel. Otherwise I prefer to jog with it unlocked (on a curvy blacktop surface.) There have been times that the front wheel will start shaking while jogging, but I have found it easier to get control of that than trying to jog around corners with the wheel locked in place. My kids are very comfortable in the stroller and my youngest will often sleep (if his big brother stops annoying him for long enough.) We have used the stroller at the zoo and really didn't have much trouble with it being too wide. We had to manuver it through a couple of doorways, but it was still easier than pushing around my older Graco Duo Glide. There is a lot of room to carry "stuff" and the cup holder/compartment is awesome.
I have had this stroller for just over a month and have put at least 80 miles on it (both walking and jogging), and I really can't find anything to complain about. I don't love the material that the hand grips are made out of (I find it to be kind of sticky), but this is just nit picking. The sun visor is not huge, but it does move so that no matter where the sun is, I can keep it out of my kids' faces. The MP3 speaker is simply a joke, but I knew that before I bought it.
There isn't a day that has gone by that I have regretted my decision to buy this stroller and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends. |
