Awesome Customer Service
Yes, the product was expensive, but thankfully we had Grandma & Grandpa purchase us this stroller system. It really is an awesome piece of engineering and a terrific convenience. People marvel at it when they see it unfolding in the airport. Works just as advertised. It isn't indestructible though. We've had the following hardware issues:

one handlebar became locked into position
the handles separated from their weld points just under the cupholder
2 infant car seat bases have their indicators break
1 handle on the side of the stroller got stuck in position

Why is this a 5 star review still? Because of their awesome customer service. Orbit has cheerfully and expediently replaced all of the equipment above (even upgrading us to the new G2 line). Just a simple email with a picture gets you a prompt response and day later a new product arrives at your door. Unpack the new one and repack the old one (prepaid) and you're done. I recommend them very highly.

Dangerous -- Off Balanced Due To Uneven Weight Distribution
I purchased the Orbit infant stroller system a year and a half ago. Initially, my husband and I liked the convenience of rotating the car seat and docking it onto the stroller. However, we soon noticed a major problem. If your child is facing you (toward the handles), there is too much weight on the side of the handles. Therefore, if you put even a super light diaper bag or a shopping bag on the handles (or if you're strolling uphill even without a diaper bag), the stroller will fall toward you. When my baby was 3 months old, I stopped on the street to tie my shoelace and the stroller came crashing forward. Fortunately, my baby was strapped in so he wasn't hurt but the fall did startle him... and my soda on the handle bar spilled all over me. There are other problems with the Orbit system, but I think this design defect is a major problem that should be addressed.

Recently, we had the same issue with the toddler stroller seat (my baby is now 16 months old and weighs about 27 pounds). I had my baby facing me and only had a sandwich bad on the handle bar that weighed at most 3 pounds. My baby was sleeping when I decided to check my mail. When my baby woke up, he sat up and leaned forward, which caused the stroller to fall forward again. My baby was strapped in so he wasn't badly hurt other than the scrapes on his hands. However, this problem is a dangerous problem that Orbit should address immediately since another child may not be as lucky. The problem with the toddler stroller seat is that, in addition to the stroller being unbalanced as it is, the toddler seat flaps forward when a child sits up. You would think that the seat should be anchored so that the entire back of the seat won't lift up when a child sits up but that is not the case. Therefore, the weight of the child leaning forward will cause the stroller to fall forward.

I brought this problem to the attention of Orbit. They claimed it's not a design defect and just offered a small discount on the G2 version. I find their response totally inadequate.

Makes a great status symbol :)
Seriously, why else would someone consider paying 0+ for a baby stroller?
It's like buying a 00 Louis Vuitton Purse.
Does the same thing as a 0 purse, only it's not made of real leather and costs 12x more.
I mean, let's think about this rationally:
1) There are MANY companies out there who've been designing safe, comfortable, LITE, reliable strollers for much much longer than Orbit.
2) Humans, are designed to walk upright after the 1st year or so after birth. Hence, this is a very very short term investment. Unless, you plan on having many many children, I'm not sure what you'll be doing with your 0 stroller after the 1st year. My bet is you'll be selling it on craigslist or ebay for half what you paid. Or you could always re-purpose it to being a super high end shopping cart:)
3) The thing is freakin' HEAVY and a PAIN IN THE ASS to get in and out of your car. I seriously wonder if any employees at Orbit actually have children. Any parent, especially moms, will tell you should have been the first requirement in their product doc.
4) It's really big and doesn't fit easily into the average trunk. Better plan on buying a hummer or range rover to go with your Orbit.
5) How often do you really plan on rotating your baby in the stroller?
6) Do you really need a 0 stroller to feel like you're a loving parent? Your better off putting it towards a college fund and getting a head start.
7) Do you really need a 0 stroller to feel good about yourself?
Of course, there's always the lucky few who just have so much loot they don't know what else to do with it than buy senseless overpriced garbage. My advice to them is to find a charity and donate... a lot. It's better for the heart and the world. Buying this product promotes the wasting of human energy, mind, and spirit. This is just another company trying to cash in on the fact that ppl are most likely to spend "irrationally" when it comes to their children.

The Best Out There!!!
I have reviewed every single stroller out there. I have spent hours testing and trying out the plethora of strollers that exist today, and the Orbit System is, hands down, the best!! I love the compact one-hand fold feature...just one twist on the bar and the frame simply clicks shut. Wow!!! What's also great is that the frame fits in the trunk of the car (VW Jetta TDI) unlike the "mother-of-bulkiness" a.k.a. Graco Travel System (for example). The paparazzi shield is ingenius! It helps protect against unwanted sun and people who just have the uncontrollable NEED to touch newborn babies, while strolling in the store...if you know what I mean. For my needs, the diaper bag/cargo pod could be bigger and have some compartments added, but for necessities it'll do; today, I use an added diaper backpack and just hang it on one of the handles...no biggie. The 360 degree rotating feature is wonderfully convenient, esp. when I'm going for walks in the neighborhood, with the sun shining in a different direction every time I make a turn around the block; one simple turn and "Presto!" baby is out of the sun! My husband loves the adjustable handles, which have 3 height adjustment options; this stroller is great for tall people. The ride is soooo smooth, requiring only one hand, if needed. There are no unstable wheels. The suspension on the front, I guess, helps a little with shock absorption, but I don't notice that much of a difference when going over a bump. Hey, a bump is a bump. After initially inflating the two rear air-filled tires, I only needed to pump one additional time in the entire 6 months of owning this item. Most importantly, car seat is super safe and comfortable for my little one. I have had now problem with tangled straps. She absolutely loves her Orbit seat! No complaining, she is just smiles and coos, when she goes on her excursions... Over all, I recommend this over any stroller. It is pricey, but think about it. If you plan on having more than one child, you can purchase multiple plastic framed strollers or a safe & sturdy metal frame one, which will last with ALL of the children. P.S.= It has a great resale value! So, you even get some of your money back. All I can say is get this item. You won't regret it. Just get your spiel prepared because you'll get so many people asking about how awesome your stroller is and where you got it :)

Definitely not worth the $$$
I, too, like so many parents out there did my research. And, the net of it is, this stroller is not worth the money AND is impractical.

1) it is heavy and cumbersome which is the LAST thing you want went you are carrying around a wiggly, squirmy, sleeping, etc. baby.
2) it costs and arm and a leg. do yourself and your baby a favor and buy something less expensive (and better) and take the money you saved and put it toward something else.

I eventually went with the basic Graco Snugride carseat and their "snap and go" style stroller. It's easy, relatively light weight, and about 1/5 the price of this silly "system." Also, with all the money you save you can buy another stroller for when baby gets bigger - one that really makes sense - maybe a jogger or a City Mini or a MacLaren, etc.
